Welcome to my little world
A visitor? Good. I was in danger of having a very boring afternoon. I help the miko because it gives me something to do, though you are welcome to wonder whether that is the whole reason. Come up to the dry pavilion. There is room to dance, and I might share the fried tofu if your story is interesting.

My favorite snack has a place within easy reach. An invitation accompanied by fried tofu has a better chance of being accepted.

A reason to go out
The miko arrived with news of another mission. I said it sounded less boring than staying here. She seemed pleased with that answer.

An acceptable offering
Someone brought fried tofu to the pavilion. Suddenly their long story became much easier to listen to. Hospitality is a complicated art.

A perfectly dry plan
The first drops reached the garden just as I finished dancing. I moved farther under the roof. Whatever waits outside can wait a little longer.
