The Riverbank Notebook
A rustle beside the pond, a green shape near the water, and a lunch basket that suddenly looks lighter.
Yokai profile
A rustle beside the pond, a green shape near the water, and a lunch basket that suddenly looks lighter. The Kappa file follows five appearances of one of Spirit Rush's riverside visitors. Start with the quiet portraits, then open the attack pictures to compare each pose.

The observation notebook
Where the story begins
The website's riverbank setting borrows from the familiar pond-and-river image of a Kappa. In these neighborhood stories, an unattended snack is often the beginning of an encounter.
Reading the artwork
Compare the face, shell silhouette, and accessories in each picture. Small details distinguish the five forms more reliably than the family name alone.
A note from the field desk
These are appearance numbers for the artwork archive. Form 05 does not mean stage 5, and the images are not a chart of combat difficulty.
A neighborhood sighting
I set my lunch on the bridge for one moment. When I looked back, something was watching from the riverbank. I drew what I could remember, but the sketch has more cucumber than creature in it. — A note delivered to the After-School Shrine
Miko: Another Yokai sighting? Mark the riverbank on my patrol map. I am going to find that basket.
